Frequently Asked Questions about the Gala

QWhen do I need to purchase tickets by?
A: All tickets must be purchased by April 19th in order for the Brave Will Foundation to give a final count to UPH.

Q: When will I receive my tickets for the event?
A: No tickets will be distributed for the event. Instead, a guest list will be created for admission to the gala. Just provide your name or the name of your party when you arrive on the 24th.

Q: Are drinks included in the ticket price?
A: Yes, there will be soft drinks, beer, wine, soda  and mixed drinks.  Please drink  responsibly or  arrange to have a designated driver. Cabs will be circulating in front of UPH at midnight.

Q: How old do I have to be to attend the gala?
A: Because there will be  an open bar, you must be 21 to attend the event.

Q: Will there be a sit-down dinner at the event?
A: No, instead there will be both pasta and carving stations, as well as appetizers and hors d’ouvres.

Q: Where can I park the night of the event?
A: While there is ample street parking near the event, we are also working on securing a lot near UPH. We will be post additional information regarding parking as the date of the event gets closer.

Q: How do I get to Universal Preservation Hall?
A: 25 Washington Street in downtown Saratoga, a 1/2 block off of Broadway. You can find directions here.

Q: Do I need to wear a tuxedo to the event?
A: No, the Gala is formal but black tie is not required.

Q: Will merchandise be sold at the event?
A: Yes, our new Will Power bracelets and t-shirts will be available.

Q: Will people in my group all be able to sit together?
A: While there will be tables and chairs throughout the venue, everything is done cocktail style so there is no need to have reserved tables.

Q: Is there a place to put my coat?
A: Yes, a coat check will be available.

Q: Can I use my credit card to purchase raffle tickets and merchandise?
A: We are working on a way to accept credit cards the night of the event. In addition, cash and checks will certainly be accepted.

Q: Are there hotels available?
A: Saratoga has a great downtown area with many hotels.   If you need assistance finding a hotel, please contact Helene at hverdile@nycap.rr.com for rates/options.
